The winery was founded in 1937 in the walled medieval village of Laguardia in the heart of Rioja Alavesa.

Today generations of winemaking tradition combine with new ideas, techniques and equipment to make modern Rioja wines with the unmistakable character of one of Spain’s best-known regions. Winemaker Vanesa Insausti has been making wine here since 2007, looking to produce a modern style of Rioja with perfect balance between oak and fruit.
